Notifications
Alert notifications don’t arrive
- Allow notifications: Settings → Notifications → Nebo Pro → Allow Notifications. If they’re off, the Notifications section in HQ also shows a “Notifications are off” row with a “Turn On” button.
- On the same screen, turn on Time Sensitive Notifications — alert notifications are sent as Time Sensitive, so they won’t wait in a Scheduled Summary.
- Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, etc.): in Settings → Focus → [mode], add Nebo Pro to the allowed apps or allow Time Sensitive notifications.
- Open Nebo Pro at least once after installing it: that registers your iPhone with the server for notifications. After that, the app can stay closed.
- An internet connection is required — cellular or Wi‑Fi. Notifications are delivered by Apple, so a VPN or weak signal may add delay.
Then tap HQ → Notifications → “Test Voice Notification” and minimise the app. Notifications arrive even when Nebo Pro is closed.
I can’t hear the voice in the notification
- The voice plays only when your iPhone is not in Silent mode: check the Ring/Silent switch or Action button, and the ringer volume.
- Make sure HQ → Notifications → “Voice in notifications” is on.
- Notification sounds must be allowed for Nebo Pro: Settings → Notifications → Nebo Pro → Sounds.
The voice message (“Attention! Air raid alert…”, the place and threat level) is spoken by the Trembita Pro voice server. If the voice can’t be downloaded within a few seconds (for example, on a weak connection), the notification isn’t delayed — the Trembita siren plays without voice.
Silent mode and Do Not Disturb. Critical Alerts, which sound even in Silent mode, aren’t available yet: Nebo Pro is requesting this permission from Apple. Until then, the alert notification only sounds when your iPhone isn’t in Silent mode.
What vibration do I get when the app is closed?
When Nebo Pro is closed, you get a notification with the Trembita siren and the standard iPhone vibration — apps can’t change its rhythm. Nebo Pro’s own haptic signals (the Standard and Haptic alphabet modes) play while the app is open.
The most noticeable signal comes from Apple Watch — a vibration right on your wrist. To make it stronger, open the Watch app → Sounds & Haptics on your iPhone and turn on Prominent haptic. The watch app shows the same tip under “Stronger Haptics”.
The alert island (Live Activity / Dynamic Island) doesn’t appear
- In Settings → Nebo Pro, turn on Live Activities.
- An internet connection is required: during an alert, the server starts and updates the island even when the app is closed.
- On iPhone models with Dynamic Island, the island appears at the top of the screen and on the Lock Screen; on other models, on the Lock Screen.
The island appears during an alert in your sector or in places you follow (“Watching”). To preview it: HQ → Alert Island → “Show Test Island”, then minimise the app — the test island disappears after 30 seconds.
What is the notification at 9:00 a.m.?
It’s a daily reminder to honour the defenders of Ukraine with a minute of silence — at 9:00 a.m. local time. You can turn it off in HQ → Notifications → “Minute of Silence at 9:00 a.m.”. This switch doesn’t affect alert notifications.
Sector & map
How is my sector determined?
If you allow location access, Nebo Pro determines your hromada (community), as well as your district and oblast, right on the device — coordinates are never sent to the server. A location-based sector updates when you open the app.
Without location, choose your oblast manually: on the main screen, tap “SECTOR · [name] ⌄” on the sector card, or open HQ → Sector → “My Sector”. You can switch back to “Automatically by location” there too.
To get alerts for other places too — family, a country house, the city where you study — add them to “Watching”: the map button at the top of the main screen. You can choose a whole oblast or just a district, hromada, city or village.
Kyiv and Sevastopol have special status under Article 133 of the Constitution of Ukraine and are not part of any oblast, so they are selected separately.
I denied location access — how do I turn it on?
In the sector picker, tap “Automatically by location” — the app opens iOS Settings. There, allow Nebo Pro location access while using the app. Or keep location off and pick your sector manually — everything works that way too.
What does “STATUS UNKNOWN” mean?
The app doesn’t have fresh data right now — most often because there’s no internet connection. In the meantime, follow the sirens and official channels. As soon as the connection is back, the status updates automatically.
Where does the alert data come from?
Data is provided by Trembita Pro. It is for information only: delays or connection failures are possible, so always heed the sirens.
How do I add the “Sky” widget?
The “Sky” widget shows the alert status in your sector and the weather. It comes in small and medium sizes for the Home Screen, plus compact versions for the Lock Screen.
- Home Screen: touch and hold an empty area to enter editing mode, tap to add a widget, find Nebo Pro and choose “Sky”.
- Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, choose to customise it, tap the widget area and add “Sky” from Nebo Pro.
The widget refreshes on the schedule iOS allows, so it may lag by a few minutes. Without a connection it shows “STATUS UNKNOWN”. The widget doesn’t replace alert notifications.
Apple Watch
How do I install Nebo Pro on Apple Watch?
On your iPhone, open the Watch app → My Watch → Available Apps → Nebo Pro → Install. HQ → Apple Watch has an “Install on Watch” button for this. If automatic app install is on, Nebo Pro appears on the watch by itself.
Connection status is shown in HQ → Apple Watch; once the app is installed on the watch, there’s also a “Sync Now” button. Open Nebo Pro on your iPhone — your sector and “Watching” places appear on the watch automatically.
The “I’m in shelter” button and Double Tap
During an alert in your sector, the watch shows a large “I’m in shelter” button — it marks that you’ve taken shelter and shows how long you’ve been there; tap again to clear it. The mark is stored only on the watch and isn’t sent to anyone. On models that support Double Tap (pinching your index finger and thumb together twice), you can press the button without touching the screen.
You can also use your voice: say to Siri on the watch “I’m in shelter in Nebo Pro”. To check the status on iPhone or the watch: “Air raid status in Nebo Pro”.
How do I add Nebo Pro to my watch face?
Touch and hold the watch face, tap Edit, then swipe to Complications — choose a slot and select the Nebo Pro “My Sector” complication. It shows your sector’s status at a glance.
My watch shows outdated data
Apple Watch needs internet — through your nearby iPhone, Wi‑Fi or cellular (on cellular models). Without a connection, the watch shows “STATUS UNKNOWN” — follow the sirens. If the watch has no sector, open Nebo Pro on your iPhone or tap “Sync Now” in HQ → Apple Watch.
Account, language & data
Do I need an account?
No. The alert map, sector, notifications and haptic signals work without signing up. Sign in with Apple will only be needed for Circle (family status), On Air (chat) and the “Support Nebo Pro” subscription — all of them are still in development and coming soon. We never ask for your email.
How do I delete my account?
HQ → Account → “Delete Account”, then confirm with “Delete”. This removes Sign in with Apple from your iPhone and deletes the anonymous notification records for this iPhone and Apple Watch from the server. Alert notifications keep arriving — with a new random identifier. The alert map and signals keep working without signing in.
What data does the server store?
For push notifications: a random installation identifier, notification and alert-island tokens, your voice setting and the names of places you follow (your hromada or oblast and your “Watching” places) — never coordinates. If Nebo Pro is installed on Apple Watch, the watch has a similar separate record. Records of inactive installations are deleted after 60 days. Sign in with Apple is currently stored only on your iPhone.
Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
What happens if I delete the app?
Your sector, haptic mode, Sign in with Apple and other on-device settings are deleted along with the app. The installation record on the server is deleted automatically after 60 days of inactivity. If you signed in with Apple, you can tap HQ → Account → “Delete Account” before deleting the app — the notification records are then removed from the server immediately.
How do I change the app language?
HQ → Language → “App Language”: “Same as iPhone”, “Українська” or “English”. The new language applies after a restart: close Nebo Pro from the App Switcher and open it again. Texts that come from the server (notifications and the voice) stay in Ukrainian.
“Support Nebo Pro” subscription
Will the alert signal ever be paid?
No. The alert map and the alert signal for your sector are free for everyone, forever. The “Support Nebo Pro” subscription isn’t available yet and is coming soon; once it launches, it will simply help development and unlock extra features.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
The subscription isn’t available yet, so there’s nothing to subscribe to or cancel for now. Once it launches, you’ll manage it in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Nebo Pro. It will renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I get a refund?
Payments and refunds are handled by Apple — we have no access to your payment details. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Nebo Pro is not an official warning system. Always respond to sirens, official apps and announcements from the authorities. In an emergency in Ukraine, call 101 — State Emergency Service, 102 — police, 103 — ambulance, 112 — single emergency number.
